  • Ed Dougherty's T12 was his best finish in the Champions Tour event since he was T7 last September at The First Tee Open at Pebble Beach Presented by Wal-Mart. Dougherty's finish was also his third consecutive top-25 effort as he continues his comeback from 2003 shoulder surgery.

  • Doug Tewell returned to action for the first time since early May and finished T38. He had been sidelined following May elbow surgery.

  • Mark McNulty and D.A. Weibring were the only players to record three straight sub-70 scores in the tournament.

  • Gary Player's 4-under-par 68 was his low round of the year and it marked the second time in his career he had bettered his age. The 69-year-old Player did it for the first time last year when he shot a 66 at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am.

  • Mike Reid, the 2005 Senior PGA Championship winner, withdrew prior to the start of the round with a right wrist injury.

  • The most difficult hole for the week was No. 13 with an average score of 3.203 (+.203), while No. 18 was the easiest with a score of 4.619 (-.381). Overall, the scoring average was 71.636 for the event, a slight increase over last year's average of 71.575.
